RF Signal / Waveform Generator 3 GHz / 80 MHz

Overview

The 4088 Series combines RF signal generation with a fully featured AWG/Function generator to deliver flexibility and performance in a compact, streamlined solution. On the front panel, dedicated channels and output ON/OFF buttons enable individual and simultaneous operation of the RF and AWG/Function signal generators.

The RF generator covers a wide frequency range from 50 MHz up to 1.5 GHz (4088) or 3 GHz (4089) with excellent frequency stability and low phase noise. The AWG/Function generator utilizes both true point-by-point AWG and DDS based architectures to produce sine, square, triangle, pulse, and user-defined arbitrary waveforms. The function generator frequency ranges from 1 µHz up to 50 MHz (4088) or 80 MHz (4089) and the AWG features 16 bits of resolution, a sampling rate up to 250 MSa/s, and deep waveform memory of 4 million points.

Software is available to create and upload complex waveforms directly to the instruments via standard USBTMC and LAN interfaces. GPIB is also available with model 4089GPIB.

AWG/Function Generator

• 16-bit resolution, 250 MSa/s, up to 4 Mpts arbitrary waveform generator
• Generate sine and square waves from 1 μHz up to 80 MHz
• Generate triangle/ramp up to 5 MHz and pulse waveforms up to 10 MHz
• Amplitude up to 10 Vpp into 50 Ω or up to 20 Vpp into open circuit
• Internal or external modulation functions: AM, FM, PM, PWM, BPSK, and FSK

• 4.3-inch LCD screen with IPS technology for wider viewing angles
