B&K Precision’s new BK9240 Series expands the popular BK9140 Series with multi-range operation and an enhanced feature set typically found only in high performance instruments. The BK9240 Series features three single output models that can deliver up to 120 W (BK9240 and BK9241) or 200 W (BK9242) of power in a compact 2U half-rack form factor. The front panel features a vivid 4.3-inch LCD and output terminals that support sheathed banana plugs or spade lug type connectors. Also accessible via the front panel are dedicated output control buttons and a USB host port for data-logging.
The series also includes several enhanced features, such as a battery charge mode, which offers many user-configurable charge parameters and fail-safe conditions to simplify battery charging. Intuitive list mode programming enables users to set up and execute more complex test sequences. Additionally, LXI compliant LAN and USB (USBTMC-compliant and virtual COM) interfaces are standard on all three models. Remote PC control software and drivers are provided to simplify instrument control and test system integration. For users requiring GPIB, this option can be installed on any of the three models (-GPIB).
The 9240 Series sets a new standard for general purpose benchtop power supplies by including many of the features and capabilities found in high-performance instruments. The multi-range operation provides up to 200 W of clean output power in any Volt/Amp combination within rated voltage and current limits.
This series combines an easy-to-use interface with advanced list programming features, battery charge mode, and data logging to serve a wide range of applications including production test, R&D, electronic service, and education.
