A versatile range of resistance decade boxes available in 5, 6 & 8 decades. High Accuracy and wide range 0.001ohm to 11Megohms are combined in a compact lightweight case. The switches have gold plated contacts to ensure a low contact resistance and negligible thermal emf. Some resistance decade box models are particularly suited to Pt100 simulation with resolution as low as 0.001ohm (0.0025°C). High Accuracy Resistance Decade Boxes / 5, 6 & 8 Decades.

Some models employ the Waidner Wolf technique to eliminate any errors due to switch contact resistance and are particularly suited to Pt100 simulation with resolution as low as 0.001Ω (»0.0025°C).

All units are supplied complete with certificate of conformity and all measurements are, of course, traceable to International Standards. Special models are available for temperature (Pt100) and insulation resistance simulation.

RBC High Dissipation Resistance Decade 5 Watts per coil
The RBC Series is a robust range of high dissipation resistance decades available in 4, 5 or 6 decade versions and suitable for applications where reasonably precise and stable adjustable loads are required.
Constructed using the same high quality components as our other resistance decades and housed in a light alloy ventilated case, the RBC Series will withstand the most arduous use and give many years service. All parts are fully serviceable and can be repaired in our workshop should the more enthusiastic user damage the units with high overloads.
Wide range, compact 6 decade resistance box with double pole switching
RM6 Resistance Decade / Total Resistance 11.1111 M Ohms, Resolution 10Ohms
This small cost effective decade resistance box further enhances our comprehensive range, offering excellent value for money. This 6 decade model has a total resistance of 11.1111 Megohms with a resolution of 10ohms. The accuracy of ±1% is achieved using metal film resistors which have a power rating of 0.4 Watt.

The RM6-N is a space and cost-saving 6 decade resistance box . 3 models are available covering the range 1ohm to 111.111 Megohm. An additional 1kohm resistor is available at the terminals enabling the user to make a simple divider. The RM6-N incorporates 0.6 watt metal film resistors with a specified accuracy of ±1%.
The RM6-Ns constitute an ideal tool for use in all electrical and electronic laboratories or workshop environment offering a wide range of values with minimum cost
Compact 8 decade resistance box with double pole switching
RM8 Resistance Decade / Total Resistance 1.1111111Megohm, Resolution 0.01ohm.
The model RM8 decade resistance box is designed to complement our range of resistance boxes, offering a very wide range 0.01ohm to 1Megohm in a compact and versatile unit. The low decade steps of 0.01ohm enables very high resolution, when simulating resistance values and the power rating is 1.0 watt per coil.
The RM8 uses double pole switching to minimize the effects of contact resistance. The lower value decades (0.01 and 0.1ohm) are manufactured from manganin resistance wire and the other decades from selected metal film resistors. This offers good stability combined with excellent load and temperature coefficients.

RH9A High Resistance / High Voltage Decade Boxes - Total Resistance 1 Terraohm - Resolution 1 kilohm - Max Voltage 5000 Vdc.
Designed using the Cropico High Quality SP1 switch combined with specially selected resistors, this range of high ohm resistance decades is ideal for the calibration of insulation test sets with a voltage rating up to 5kV. Housed in a rugged plastic carrying case with up to 9 decades the RH series covers the range 1 kΩ to 1 TΩ and is equally at home in the laboratory, workshop or field application.
